Our Journey
Year 1933
In the footsteps of many, the journey began with shared dreams
In the year 1943, the club members decide to celebrate Durga Puja with its full glory, heritage, and national implications. So began the journey of Tapoban in celebrating national sentiment and fortifying the community spirit.
Year 1943
A bunch of enthusiastic people came together to form the Topoban in Barisha, Kolkata. From the eve of its existence, the club was driven by the motto to strengthen cultural bonding and foster a strong sense of community among the inhabitants. These values were extremely pivotal in forging an Indian-ness during the trying times of pre-independence.
Year 1993
On the year of 1993, club Tapoban embarked on helping the local community with its round-the-clock ambulance service on the occasion of the club’s diamond jubilee.
Year 1996
1996 fell on us with Subhash Centenary Year, paving yet another occasion for us to aid the community with a funeral car service.
Year 1999
In 1999, we were bequeathed the most ornate and prestigious Sarodh Sonman award.
Year 2023
It’s 2023! And we are back to the pavilion with renewed grandeur. We have broken out from our long hibernation and emerged from the frost of our legacy to dazzle the people with our creative ideas once again.
